Goodbye, Christmas stress

These 7 tips will ensure that you stay serene and relaxed over Christmas.

It’s December and Christmas is just around the corner. It’s supposed to be a peaceful time but every year, once the festive period kicks off we’re in danger of getting completely stressed out. To help you avoid that pitfall this year, you should bear the following points in mind.

#1 Make sure you get enough sleep

Getting enough sleep is essential so that your body can recover from stressful days and gather new strength. Do you find it difficult to wind down and relax in the evenings? Then try our  RINGANAisi – the deceleration drink with extracts of passion flower, lemon balm leaf and small-leaved lime flower provides maximum relaxation in a natural way.

#2 Relax a little every day

Treat yourself to some mindful time-out. Take 30 minutes every day to relax – just for yourself, and so that your body can unwind. It’s much easier to do this with some soothing music or relaxation exercises. Little rituals can also boost your well-being.

Turn your daily shower into a personal wellness experience. Make sure that the bathroom is heated to a pleasant temperature and that you have warm lighting. You could also light a candle because candlelight creates a soothing ambience. Just a small amount of FRESH body wash foamed up with enough water will clean the skin gently and thoroughly. The balanced formulation of FRESH body wash moisturises and refreshes. After your shower, the best way of grooming your skin is with FRESH body milk. It nourishes and soothes dry skin with high-quality plant oils, giving it an intense feel of well-being and suppleness.

#3 Do your Christmas shopping early

Giving gifts is supposed to be a pleasure, but for lots of us it just means relentless stress. Who gets what? Where do I get the perfect gift? Can I afford presents for all of my loved ones?

Here’s our tip for avoiding getting overwhelmed by your Christmas shopping: don’t wait until the last minute! Create a list in which you itemise your gift ideas throughout the year. That way you have the perfect reference for Christmas gifts – and you won’t have to rack your brains in December.

#4 Get your sports gear on

Regular exercise is good for both body and mind. Because when we do sport, stress hormones are neutralised. The kind of sport that best helps to relieve stress varies from person to person. But no matter whether you go running, do yoga, or dance – the main thing is that you have fun and work up a real sweat. Afterwards, treat yourself to a gentle self-massage with warm oil or a relaxing bath to ease strained muscles and recharge your energy.

#5 Don’t forget to laugh

Even if there are ups and downs over Christmas, never forget to laugh! See the funny side of things and take an optimistic approach to life.

#6 Anybody can be perfect

Do you drive yourself mad over every little thing? Does it all have to be perfect down to the tiniest detail? Nonsense! We’re all only human and none of us is perfect. That’s what’s great about it! There are times when we should just let things go and take life a little easier. Don’t worry about whether the napkins match the curtains or not – nobody will be checking as they enjoy their Christmas dinner.

#7 Make a checklist

Do I still have some of those nice Christmas baubles for the tree, or did the cat destroy them all last year? Do I have any gift wrap? Have I bought all the ingredients for my family’s favourite cookies? In the run-up to Christmas the list of questions bouncing around in our heads seems endless – so it’s no surprise that we sometimes forget one thing or another in all the Christmas kerfuffle.

We suggest that you create a checklist so that you’ve got a clear overview, and can tick things off one by one. That creates order and reduces stress. You can also give your memory and retentiveness a helping hand with CAPS cerebro. Thanks to its high polyphenol content, this patented branded raw material with grape and blueberry extract which has been subjected to multiple clinical tests supports long and shortterm memory and promotes learning capacity. Golden root extract with rosavin helps the body to adapt to stressful situations and promotes our cognitive functions.
